Who we are

Grocery Gains is an app that turns photos of grocery receipts into a personal spending dashboard. Grocery Gains is operated by Jamnaytac LLC (“we”, “us”). Contact: privacy@grocerygains.com.

What we collect

Account: email address (via Amazon Cognito).
Receipt photos: the images you snap or upload. The camera is used only when you take a photo — there is no background collection.
Receipt data: the line items, store, totals, and dates extracted from your receipts, plus your corrections and confirmations.
Spending history: the per-store and per-category monthly totals derived from your confirmed receipts, to power your dashboard.

How we use it

To operate the core service: read your receipts, let you review and confirm them, and build your spend dashboard. When you confirm how a store abbreviates a product, that product match (not your identity, purchases, or totals) also improves recognition for other users scanning at the same chain. We do not sell your personal information.

Infrastructure providers (AWS) process data on our behalf: receipt images are stored in Amazon S3, text is extracted with Amazon Textract, and line items are normalized with AI on Amazon Bedrock.
We use no advertising networks and no third-party analytics that see your receipt contents.

Retention & deletion

Receipt images and extracted data are retained while your account is active so your dashboard keeps working. You can delete individual receipts in the app, or request account and data deletion at privacy@grocerygains.com.

Your controls

The camera is only used when you choose to snap a receipt; you can revoke the permission at any time in your OS settings.
Review every receipt before it counts — nothing enters your dashboard until you confirm it.
Delete any receipt and its data from the app.

Children

Grocery Gains is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
