Who we are

Grocery Gains is an app that turns photos of grocery receipts into a personal spending dashboard. Grocery Gains is operated by Jamnaytac LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service.

The service

Grocery Gains is free to use. You snap or upload photos of grocery and food receipts; we extract the text, use AI to normalize the line items into products, ask you to confirm the result, and build monthly spending views by store and category from what you confirm. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time, and features described as “coming later” are plans, not promises.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Grocery Gains.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account and data at any time (see the privacy policy).

Your receipts

  • You keep ownership of the receipt photos you upload and the data extracted from them.
  • You grant us the license needed to operate the service: storing your photos, extracting their text, normalizing line items with AI, and showing the results back to you.
  • When you confirm how a store abbreviates a product, that product match — not your identity, purchases, or totals — may be used to improve recognition for all users, as described in the privacy policy.
  • Only upload receipts you are entitled to share (your own household’s purchases, not other people’s documents).

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service. That includes: uploading content that isn’t a grocery or food receipt; attempting to access other users’ data; probing, scraping, or disrupting the service or its infrastructure; reverse engineering the app except where the law permits it; or using the service to build a competing dataset.

Accuracy

Receipt scanning and AI normalization make mistakes — that’s why the app asks you to confirm every receipt before it counts. Your dashboard is informational only. It is not financial, tax, or nutritional advice, and you shouldn’t rely on it as a complete or exact record of your spending.

Availability and changes

The service is provided free of charge and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue it (or any part of it) at any time. We’ll make reasonable efforts to warn you before any change that would delete your data, and you can export or delete your data as described in the privacy policy.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. You may stop using the service at any time; deleting your account deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jamnaytac LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service; our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
